Poland police issue hefty fines for extreme speed violations on roads and e‑scooters
In Bytów, Pomerania, a 46‑year‑old man was stopped riding an electric scooter at an estimated 70 km/h on a road where the limit is 20 km/h. Police video recorded the speed and he was fined 1,100 zł for endangering traffic.
On the S5 expressway in Lower Silesia, a driver of a Dodge was caught traveling 204 km/h, more than 80 km/h over the 120 km/h limit. The motorist received a 2,500 zł fine and 15 penalty points.
In Legionowo, Mazovia, a man driving a Toyota exceeded the speed limit by 49 km/h and was found to have no valid driving licence. He was fined and faced a court case for driving without proper authorisation.
