Polish police probe racist comment and prosecutors examine official's war‑incitement statements

Police in Ostrołęka opened an investigation to identify the author of an online comment that used the word "murzyn," suspecting a racially offensive statement. The case has drawn commentary from media personalities who described the police action as excessive.

Separately, a citizen filed a formal complaint with the Warsaw district prosecutor's office alleging that Stanisław Żaryn, a senior official in the National Security Office, incited aggression against Russia. The complaint cites Żaryn's public statements calling for hybrid warfare on Russian territory, the creation of a psychological operations centre, and the destruction of the Russian Federation, and requests investigation under Articles 117 § 3 and 163 § 1 of the Polish Criminal Code.
