Polish police report multiple dangerous road incidents in Wartkowice and Płock
Police in the Poddębice district stopped two vehicles in Wartkowice after observing serious traffic violations. An Opel towing a Seat was driven by a woman who had swapped seats with a man subject to a lifetime driving ban. The Seat driver tested at 0.6 ‰ alcohol, lacked a licence and was under a court‑ordered driving prohibition. Both drivers were fined and the cases sent to court.
In the Płock area, a series of hazardous road events were recorded over recent days. A 28‑year‑old driver of a Volkswagen failed to yield to a Kia, sustaining injuries that required hospitalization. An Audi driver lost control, struck a street lamp and later died despite resuscitation efforts. A 37‑year‑old Ford driver is suspected of not yielding to an 18‑year‑old BMW, resulting in injuries to multiple occupants and a several‑hour road closure. Police have again appealed for drivers to observe speed limits, avoid distractions and respect right‑of‑way rules.
