Kraków mayoral race tightens as national polls show shifting party support
Recent polling data highlights significant shifts in the Polish political landscape, particularly regarding the upcoming mayoral election in Kraków and national parliamentary preferences. In Kraków, the race is tightening; Łukasz Gibała leads with 17.6% support, but Monika Piątkowska, backed by Koalicja Obywatelska and PSL, has surged to 17.1%, leaving a narrow 0.5 percentage point margin. Nationally, polling indicates a complex dynamic for major parties. Koalicja Obywatelska maintains a lead at approximately 26.1% to 31.4% depending on the survey, while Prawo i Sprawiedliwość (PiS) has seen a decline, reaching levels around 15% to 17.5%. Meanwhile, Konfederacja is gaining ground, closely approaching PiS with support around 14.8%.
