Poland President Karol Nawrocki Hits Record Trust Rating, Boosting Re‑election Prospects

A recent IBRiS poll commissioned by Onet shows President Karol Nawrocki of Poland received a trust rating of 54.8 %, the highest level ever recorded in the survey’s history and an increase of 8.4 percentage points from a month earlier. The result surpasses the previous record of 54.4 % set by Szymon Hołownia.

Political analysts attribute the surge to several factors. Bartosz Rydliński notes Nawrocki’s early‑term advantage, his decisive stance on the Ukraine issue and his ability to set the public agenda ahead of the government. Professor Rafał Chwedoruk identifies three sources of the president’s success: turmoil within the right‑wing parties, a crisis surrounding the South Hospital, and heightened tensions in Poland‑Ukraine relations, combined with strong media visibility. Chwedoruk said, “This greatly increases his chances of re‑election.” Both experts agree that the record trust level markedly improves Nawrocki’s prospects for a second term.
