India and Poland aim to double bilateral trade by 2030

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk held bilateral talks in New Delhi to strengthen the India-Poland Strategic Partnership. The discussions focused on expanding cooperation in defense, space, nuclear energy, and emerging technologies, including AI, semiconductors, and quantum technologies.

Both leaders emphasized economic growth, with a shared goal to double bilateral trade to approximately USD 12.6 billion by 2030. The visit included the India-Poland Business Forum in New Delhi and Bengaluru, featuring a delegation of nearly 100 Polish companies. Discussions also touched upon the potential impact of the India-EU Free Trade Agreement on bilateral commerce.

To foster innovation, the leaders agreed to establish an India-Poland StartUp Bridge and organize technology hackathons for youth. Additionally, March 30 will be observed annually as Poland-India Partnership Day. The leaders also expressed support for peace efforts in Ukraine and West Asia.
