Poland: Prosecutors search foundations linked to Ziobro and Wipler

Polish National Prosecutors Office investigators conducted searches at the headquarters of the Instytut Polski Suwerennej and Dobry Rząd foundations on Friday, October 30. The actions are part of an ongoing investigation into the Zondacrypto cryptocurrency exchange scandal.

The investigation, led by Special Investigative Team No. 4, is examining financial flows and potential links between the exchange's leadership and politicians. Specifically, investigators are looking into a 450,000 PLN donation made to Zbigniew Ziobro’s foundation by Przemysław Kral, the president of Zondacrypto. Ziobro admitted to requesting financial support from Kral, noting that Artur Chodziński, a former CBA agent, acted as an intermediary.

Additionally, authorities are investigating transactions involving the Dobry Rząd foundation, established by MP Przemysław Wipler. Wipler has denied that any funds received from the exchange were connected to his parliamentary activities. The broader Zondacrypto investigation, which began in April, is looking into allegations of large-scale fraud and money laundering, as well as the disappearance of the exchange’s founder, Sylwester Suszek.
