Polish regional youth football leagues to be reorganized for 2026/27 season

The Lubelski Związek Piłki Nożnej (LZPN) announced a restructuring of its provincial youth football leagues for the 2026/27 season. Under the plan, the II provincial leagues will be limited to a maximum of 14 teams in the autumn round, and a new III provincial league will be created for the spring round. Detailed promotion and relegation rules will be communicated to clubs separately, and clubs wishing to withdraw are asked to contact the Games Department.

In parallel, the LZPN’s Games and Registration Department revised the composition of classes A and B. Class A sees a minor change, with GLKS Biała replacing Zawisza Pajęczno in group VI. Class B will now consist of 12 groups instead of the originally planned 11, a change aimed at reducing travel costs for participating teams. The new groupings were established after extensive consultations with clubs across the region and cover a wide range of local teams.

Both sets of changes are intended to streamline competition, improve logistical efficiency, and provide a clearer pathway for youth development within Polish regional football.
