Polish road and farm accidents injure two men
On 1 July, a 62‑year‑old driver of a Renault Trafic van lost control on a stretch of road near Serafin in the Łyse municipality and collided with a roadside tree. The 48‑year‑old passenger was injured and both occupants were taken to hospital for treatment. Police from the Ostrołęka precinct opened an investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
A separate incident occurred in the Długosiodło municipality, where a 61‑year‑old farmer was pulled into a combine harvester while baling hay. He sustained injuries but his life was not in danger and he was also transported to a hospital. Local authorities reminded residents about safety precautions when operating agricultural machinery.
