Poland's PiS launches 'Po Pierwsze Polska' association to back premier hopeful Przemysław Czarnk

Former deputy prime minister Jacek Sasin founded a new association called “Po Pierwsze Polska” within the Law and Justice (PiS) party. The group aims to strengthen party unity, promote the candidacy of Przemysław Czarnk for prime minister, and affirm loyalty to party leader Jarosław Kaczyński.

More than 100 PiS parliamentarians have signed up as members. The elected board includes Sasin as president, vice‑presidents Elżbieta Witek, Tobiasz Bocheński and Patryk Jaki, secretary Michał Moskal and treasurer Marek Wesoły. The association is currently applying for registration in the National Court Register and will operate only within the party structure, without creating separate regional branches.

The launch follows earlier attempts by PiS politicians to create internal forums, such as Mateusz Morawiecki’s “Rozwój Plus,” which sparked internal tensions. The new group is presented as an “expert” wing rather than a separate party faction.
