Polish Schools Mark 100th and 80th Anniversaries with Community Events

The Zespół Szkół nr 3 in Nowy Sącz celebrated its centenary on 10 June with a joint fashion show and a collaborative painting of four city landmarks – the town hall, St Margaret’s Basilica, Villa Maria and a locomotive at the railway station. The ceremony, attended by the mayor, local officials, teachers and students, concluded with an exhibition of student‑designed dresses displayed in the renovated town hall.

In Siemiatycze, Szkoła Podstawowa nr 1 "Jedynka" marked its 80th anniversary under the theme "Szanujmy wspomnienia". The event featured speeches by the Podlaskie Education Curator and Vice‑Curator, a program of artistic performances, and reminiscences about the school’s history and its alumni spread across Poland and abroad. Both celebrations highlighted the schools' long‑standing role in their communities and the continuing support for cultural and educational traditions.
