Polish towns roll out senior health, digital and leadership programmes

Local authorities across Poland are hosting a series of free programmes aimed at seniors. In Morąg, a "Senior on Holiday" event on 4 August will offer health screenings, creative workshops and safety talks. The municipality of Kozienice will run a "From Nature to Culture" series in September, featuring zero‑waste workshops, first‑aid training and cultural outings.

Several cities are also providing skill‑building sessions. In Świnoujście, a two‑day "eFajfy for seniors" digital‑competence workshop in late July taught participants how to use e‑services, set strong passwords and avoid online scams, funded by the Ministry of Digitalisation. The Stefan Artwiński Foundation is recruiting participants for its "Centre for Leader Development" project in the Świętokrzyskie region, offering training, networking and a new civic cluster for NGOs.

Other initiatives include a housing‑rental programme in Nowa Dęba targeting low‑income families, a grant‑application workshop for NGOs in Wejherowo, and free first‑aid training for senior caregivers in Warsaw. Together these efforts aim to improve health, digital inclusion and civic capacity among Poland’s ageing population.
