Polish shopping centres sign major new leases
The Europa Centralna shopping park in Gliwice, developed by Mitiska REIM, has secured new tenancy agreements covering more than 6,500 sqm. The deals include grocery retailer Biedronka and Modivo Group brands HalfPrice, CCC and Worldbox. The project received €44 million of investment and development financing from Bank Pekao and aims to open the new phase in late 2026.
Sosnowiec Plaza, managed by Focus Estate Fund and White Star Real Estate, added three new tenants: health‑beauty retailer Hebe (303 sqm), electronics shop Masterkom (80 sqm) and optical outlet Kodano Optyk (99 sqm). These leases follow an earlier HalfPrice agreement for roughly 2,000 sqm, reinforcing the centre’s tenant mix and its strategy to meet everyday consumer needs.
Both developments illustrate ongoing expansion and repositioning of Polish retail real‑estate assets, with a focus on convenience, lifestyle and diversified retail offerings.
