Polish singer Doda charged with illegal supplement claims
The Warsaw District Prosecutor's Office charged singer Dorota Rabczewska, known as Doda, with violating article 130 of Poland’s Pharmaceutical Law. Prosecutors allege that in posts on X between 7 May and 3 June 2025 she promoted the supplements Doda D’eau Mega Colostrum and Doda D’eau Foods Hashi Gummies as treatments for Hashimoto thyroiditis and other thyroid disorders, despite the products not meeting legal requirements for medicinal claims.
Doda has denied the accusations, stating she only shared her personal experience with Hashimoto and did not encourage anyone to purchase the products. She issued several public statements, including “no one will intimidate me.” The Main Pharmaceutical Inspectorate had earlier referred the matter to the prosecutor. If convicted, Doda faces a fine of 10–540 daily rate units (each 10–2 000 PLN), potentially up to 1 million PLN, and up to five years’ imprisonment. She also faces a separate allegation of assisting her former husband in evading repayment of over 12 million PLN. The case remains at the preparatory stage with no court ruling yet.
