Polish sports season gets new youth basketball league format and a detailed event calendar

The WOZKosz youth basketball association released updated regulations for the upcoming season, introducing an Ekstraklasa Mazowsza for U12‑U19 teams and a secondary II Liga. Clubs may enter a qualification pathway, paying 400 zł per stage, with the top six teams earning direct promotion and the remaining spots decided in qualifiers. There is no limit on foreign players per squad.

Meanwhile, a seasonal sports calendar highlights the weekly rhythm of football leagues, the importance of squad rotation, injury prevention, and preparation for international tournament qualifiers. Coaches must balance training loads to avoid injuries, while teams adapt tactics during break periods and high‑stakes matches.
