Polish Stock Exchange GPW launches corporate bond market indices

GPW Benchmark has introduced the first two corporate bond market indices in Poland. The Warsaw Index of Public Debt Instruments (WIPID) tracks a broad range of corporate bonds and covered bonds listed on the Catalyst platform, while the Poland Corporate Bond Financials Index (POLCBF) focuses on securities issued by financial institutions. Both indices are part of the new Corporate Bond Market Monitoring System, which will publish monthly data on index values, portfolio composition and selected market metrics. The initiative aims to increase market transparency, help investors assess performance and encourage issuers to consider bond financing. GPW Benchmark president Aleksandra Bluj said the service will improve investors’ knowledge of the market, and analyst Konrad Jankowski added that the indices provide a simple, objective way to monitor the whole market.
