Polish teenage fatalities in separate car accidents raise road safety concerns
A 17‑year‑old died after his car overturned and rolled onto its roof in Mściszewice, Kaszuby. Police said the teenager and three others were on the roof, the vehicle left the road, entered a ditch and flipped. The victim succumbed to injuries in hospital. Authorities indicated that most of the passengers, including the teenager, were under the influence of alcohol.
In a separate incident on a Łódź‑region road near Chabielice, a 13‑year‑old boy traveling with his parents was killed when the family car veered off the roadway and rolled over. The child suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
