Polish Tiguar M drone downed in Iran

Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps reported that forces of the 48th Fath Brigade shot down an unmanned aerial vehicle over the province of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer‑Ahmad. Photographs released by the IRGC show a lightweight tactical drone whose design matches the Polish‑made Tiguar M, produced by Warsaw‑based uAvionics. Analysts identified characteristic features such as the high‑wing layout, rear propeller, three‑point landing gear and a satellite communications terminal that could be a Starlink or Starshield antenna. The drone is believed to have been operated by the United States, although neither the US nor uAvionics has confirmed the aircraft’s origin. The incident highlights how Polish defence technology can appear in distant conflicts and raises questions about export controls and the visibility of Polish equipment in foreign wars.
