Polish towns finalize rental contracts for new social‑housing units

The mayor of Malbork announced the list of applicants selected to sign lease agreements for residential units built under the Social Initiative Housing (SIM) KZN‑Pomorze project. The apartments, owned by the municipal‑partnered company, will be allocated according to criteria set out in a city council resolution and the 1995 law on social forms of housing development. The next step involves the housing company's staff contacting each successful applicant to complete the rental formalities.

In Końskie, all 80 apartments created through the SIM SMS program have been assigned to future tenants, and lease contracts have been signed. The development, funded by the National Development Fund, the Agricultural Development Fund and the Bank of the Polish Economy, consists of three multi‑family buildings on Armii Krajowej Street. Applicants had to make a 30 % equity contribution; regular rent payments will eventually give residents the option to purchase their flats. Completion of the complex is staggered, with two buildings ready by June‑July and the third expected in October.
