Polish towns honor couples at Golden Wedding celebrations

In the town of Zabłudów a ceremony marked Golden Wedding anniversaries, honoring couples who have been married for 50 years. Recipients received Medals for Long Marital Life, a decoration awarded by President of Poland Karol Nawrocki to recognize enduring marriages.

A similar event was held on 24 July 2026 at the Municipal Cultural Centre in Klembów. Local officials – mayor Rafał Mathiak, deputy civil registrar Cecylia Pakoca and council chair Michał Wąsik – presented the same presidential medals to dozens of couples, followed by music, toasts and a celebration cake.
