Polish towns Krotoszyn and Żary boost senior day centres
The Daily Senior House in Krotoszyn hosted representatives of the municipal senior councils from Krobi and Jarocin. The meeting focused on exchanging experiences, presenting best practices and discussing joint initiatives to support active ageing. Local officials, including the mayor of Krotoszyn, attended and highlighted the importance of cooperation among municipalities, social services and NGOs to create a supportive environment for seniors.
In Żary, the Daily Senior+ centre received government funding for the 2026 year under Poland’s national recovery plan. The financing will support the centre’s programmes and infrastructure, enhancing services for older residents in the town. The announcement reflects continued public investment in senior care facilities across the country.
