Polish towns launch 2027 budgets in Tarnobrzeg and Jastrzębie‑Zdrój

In Tarnobrzeg, officials published a list of 45 projects submitted for the 2027 Tarnobrzeg Budget Obywatelski (TBO). The proposals include five large‑scale projects, 28 small projects and 12 "soft" initiatives, with a total allocation of over 1 million zł for the small‑project pool. Notable large projects cover drainage upgrades on Św. Józefa and Szewska streets, a "Academy of the Little Explorer" in Serbinów, and a therapeutic sulfur‑water intake near Lake Tarnobrzeg. Residents are divided into two tactical blocks of neighborhoods that compete for funding, while the verification of proposals will continue through the end of August.

Jastrzębie‑Zdrój has opened voting for its 2027 participatory budget, running from 8 June to 16 June. The city earmarked 3.8 million zł, with 760 thousand zł for city‑wide projects and over 2 million zł for neighborhood or village initiatives. Voters can cast two votes – one for a city‑wide project and one for a local project – either online or at designated municipal polling sites. Of the 52 submitted ideas, 17 are city‑wide and 35 are local, covering areas such as playgrounds, parking lot upgrades, and safety monitoring equipment.
