Polish towns launch free health‑screening weekends

In the last weekend of June, several Polish towns organised free health‑screening events for residents. In Łowicz, the MediCenter set up stations offering basic measurements, cardiology consultations, physiotherapy advice and hearing tests, with participants receiving a “Health Passport” documenting results.

At the Świętokrzyskie Oncology Centre, the “White Saturday” programme provided free mammography for women aged 45‑74, as well as cervical‑cancer screening by cytology or HPV testing for women 25‑64, alongside educational activities on self‑examination and workplace prevention.

In Płock, ORLEN’s annual “Health Town” returned to the ORLEN Arena, delivering up to 28 free diagnostic stations, specialist consultations, and mobile units for mammography, osteoporosis and dental checks. The event, under the honorary patronage of the Minister of Health, also added expanded ultrasound exams and vision testing.

All three initiatives were open to the public without appointments or referrals, aiming to increase preventive care uptake among local communities.
