Polish towns Nisko and Krakow move forward with major road projects

In Nisko, the reconstruction of the Tysiąclecia and Kolejowa streets was completed. The 1.9‑km upgrade, carried out by STRABAG, included widening lanes, new pedestrian and bicycle paths, improved drainage and modern traffic signals. Funding of more than 17 million zł came from the Government Road Development Fund together with the Nisko County and municipal budgets, making it one of the region’s largest infrastructure investments.

In Kraków, the redesign of the Kobierzyńska‑Lubostroń intersection remains at the documentation stage. The city authority has updated the project and cost estimate, seeking to determine the current financial requirements. Partial co‑financing from local investors has already been secured, but the municipality still needs to allocate sufficient funds, potentially in the 2027 budget, before construction can begin.
