Polish towns upgrade roads to improve safety and traffic flow

In the town of Pasłęk, authorities have completed a modernization of key streets, including Słowackiego and Zwycięstwa. The works replaced the road surface, upgraded accompanying infrastructure, and added design features that enhance pedestrian safety, reduce noise and pollution, and improve the visual quality of the streets.

In the city of Olsztyn, the Barcza street renovation has entered a critical phase. A temporary full closure of the road segment near building No. 48 is scheduled from 15 July to 20 July 2026 to allow construction of a raised pedestrian crossing that will slow traffic and increase safety for residents, especially children and the elderly. Drivers are urged to follow temporary signs and avoid parking in the work zone.

Both projects are part of local government efforts to boost road durability, traffic efficiency and overall livability for residents.
