Polish vacation survey finds quiet, nature and privacy valued over luxury hotels

A recent survey by Provident Polska highlighted that Polish travelers now prioritize silence, privacy and close contact with nature when choosing a holiday. Only 16.7% still view a high‑standard hotel as a luxury, while 23.3% rank natural surroundings and 22.8% rank privacy and lack of crowds as top factors.

The study showed planning habits shifting: 26.3% of respondents book trips well in advance to control costs, whereas 20.1% decide spontaneously based on weather or mood. Financial worries dominate, with 42.2% fearing unexpected health expenses, followed by concerns about theft (35.1%) and transport problems (24.8%). About a quarter would consider borrowing or a credit card to cover sudden health costs. For trip planning, 49.6% rely on maps and navigation apps and 28.3% use accommodation‑booking apps, but 27.6% avoid these tools altogether. Only 4.5% fully trust AI recommendations, though 26.6% are somewhat trusting while still verifying information.
