Polish volleyball transitions to Tauron Liga for 2026/2027 season

The 2026/2027 season of Polish men's top-tier volleyball marks a significant rebranding, as the league formerly known as PlusLiga will now compete under the name Tauron Liga. The new season is scheduled to begin on October 16, 2026, featuring fourteen teams competing in a format consisting of a regular season followed by a play-off phase.

In addition to the league launch, it has been confirmed that the TAURON Cup final tournament will return to Kraków for the fifth consecutive year. The event is set to take place at the TAURON Arena Kraków on January 23 and 24, 2027. The tournament will feature four leading teams competing for the national trophy.

The upcoming league season features high-level talent, including fourteen of the fifteen players from the gold-medal winning Polish squad at the 2026 European Championships. The inaugural matchday includes matchups such as newcomer GKS Katowice against the defending champions, Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie.
