Polish Volunteer Fire Departments Log 50 July Interventions and Celebrate 100‑Year Milestone

In July, the volunteer fire brigade of Ursus, a district of Warsaw, responded to 50 incidents, including five fires, 28 local hazards, nine safety operations and three training exercises, while also handling five false alarms. The unit highlighted its readiness and cooperation with other services throughout the month.

On 1 August, the volunteer fire brigade of Rzemień marked its centenary. A ceremony featuring a mass, speeches by local officials, and the unveiling of a commemorative plaque honored a hundred years of service. Medals and awards were presented to distinguished members, and a community picnic followed the formal events.
