Polish Youth Musicians Win International Awards and Feature in Chamber Orchestra Concerts

Young performers linked to the Academy of Voice and Creativity of Julia Kaczmarczyk in Elbląg have secured prestigious placements at several international festivals. At the 26th International Song and Dance Festival “Muszelki Wigier” in Suwałki, soloist Laura Jaworska earned second place with the song “To jest moment” from the film “Wonka”, while the vocal group SOwhat! under Davis also took second place with “The Seed”. The group later achieved third place at the 46th International Children’s Song and Dance Festival in Konin with “Welcome to Wonderland”. Additional recognitions were awarded to members of Studio Artystyczne Katarzyny Panicz, and several artists received invitations to a Berlin festival and are slated to appear at the Gdynia Open 2026 festival.

In Łomża, the annual “Estrada młodych” concert of the Witold Lutosławski Chamber Philharmonic, conducted by British conductor Alex Mackinder, showcased top young musicians from music schools and universities. The program featured soprano Zofia Koniuch, flutist Olga Łusiewicz, violinist Paulina Tomczuk, saxophonist Maja Wronowska, and accordionist Konrad Korytkowski, all of whom hold national and international competition prizes. The concert highlighted the rarity of such performance opportunities for young Polish artists and drew a full house of local and visiting audiences.
