Politecnico di Milano graduates achieve record 99% employment
The Politecnico di Milano’s 2026 occupational survey shows that 99% of Italian master’s graduates are employed one year after graduation, with 95% finding a job within six months. Thirty‑two percent are already working at the moment of graduation and 82% take positions in the private sector. Sixty‑three percent hold permanent contracts, 88% remain in Italy and 94% work in roles matching their studies. The average net monthly salary after one year is €1,880, rising to €2,356 after five years – a 52% increase – and 91% have permanent contracts at that point.
International master’s graduates also perform well, with a 90% employment rate a year after graduation and 70% staying in Italy, mainly in Milan and Lombardy. Around 17% have spent at least six months working abroad, especially in Switzerland, Germany and the United Kingdom. Most graduates assume responsibility roles, and 90% would choose the Politecnico again.
