Political activity intensifies in Venezuela with new headquarters and protest calls

Political activity in Venezuela has seen recent developments involving both opposition infrastructure and human rights advocacy. In San Cristóbal, the Vente Venezuela party inaugurated a new political headquarters in the Barrio Obrero sector, referred to by members as the “casa de la libertad”. The event featured Francisco “Pancho” Ramírez, who noted he had been working from exile for 32 months, and national coordinators Henry Alviarez and Carlos Fernández. During the inauguration, Ramírez also highlighted regional issues, specifically criticizing frequent power outages in the Táchira state.

Separately, the organization Alianza por la Libertad de los Presos Políticos has called for a large-scale peaceful march in Caracas. Scheduled for August 24 at Plaza Parque Carabobo, the demonstration aims to demand the immediate and unconditional release of all political prisoners in the country. Organizers are encouraging citizens, activists, and families to participate in person to increase visibility and pressure, moving the discourse from social media to public spaces.
