Political movements emerge in Tierra del Fuego and Chubut

In Tierra del Fuego, the Provincia Grande party has begun organizing its political structure in Ushuaia ahead of the 2027 elections. Party president Juan Pablo De Luca announced the launch of a series of participatory technical tables. These meetings will involve specialists and citizens to address key issues such as health, education, land and habitat, employment, and youth. The goal is to transform these discussions into a strategic platform and plan for the province and the capital.

In Chubut, Governor Ignacio Torres has signaled his political strategy for sustaining the Despierta Chubut movement beyond 2027. During a recent interview, Torres emphasized continuity for leaders who have demonstrated effective management. He specifically praised Gustavo Sastre for his administration in Puerto Madryn, suggesting a collaborative relationship between the provincial government and Sastre’s political group rather than competition. Torres also noted that Infrastructure Secretary Hernán Tórtola will hold a significant political role in Puerto Madryn, though he did not confirm any specific candidacies.
