Turkish political polls show high undecided voter rates and shifting party standings

Recent political polls in Turkey indicate significant shifts in the electoral landscape. According to data from AREA Araştırma and Asal Araştırma, the AK Parti maintains its leading position with approximately 30.7% to 31.6% of the vote, followed by the Yeni Parti at roughly 23.4% to 25.2%.

One of the most notable findings is the record high of undecided voters, reaching as high as 23.5% in some surveys, suggesting a lack of confidence in existing political actors. Additionally, the MHP faces potential challenges, with some polls placing its individual vote share at 6.6%, which falls below the 7% national election threshold if not part of an alliance.

The resignation of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş from the CHP has also become a central political topic. Surveys show that 56.7% of respondents view his decision to continue independently as a positive move. Public sentiment regarding the economy remains largely negative, with 71.5% of respondents characterizing the government's economic policies as unsuccessful.
