Political shifts in Peru and internal PSOE disputes in Spain

In Peru, Deputy Heber López of the Obras party has denied that his departure from the presidency of the Ethics Commission was due to recent allegations. López stated that his move to the Constitution Commission is a strategic restructuring based on his professional background as a lawyer, intended to contribute to legal and constitutional reforms.

López also addressed past allegations, clarifying that a case involving a minor from over 23 years ago was archived by authorities. Regarding recent claims of physical aggression in Cusco, he stated he is unaware of any official police report and requested documentation to respond formally, dismissing the claims as speculation.

In Spain, internal conflicts have resurfaced within the PSOE in Ceuta. Tensions have escalated between the current Secretary General, Miguel Ángel Pérez Triano, and members of the parliamentary group. The dispute intensified after deputies Melchor León and Sebastián Guerrero replaced executive-appointed representatives on municipal company boards and changed the group's advisor.

Following Melchor León's public call for the resignation of Pérez Triano as Government Delegate, the national PSOE leadership in Ferraz intervened, requesting that the deputies reverse the changes made to the administrative boards by August 19.
