Political tensions rise in Belgrade and Bosnia and Herzegovina
In Belgrade, Mayor Aleksandar Šapić was involved in a physical altercation with Tatjana Mićić, a councilwoman from the Kreni-Promeni movement, and her husband. The incident reportedly began with a verbal confrontation initiated by Šapić. Following the clash, Mićić sustained a broken nose and a fractured jaw. While police detained Šapić, he was released shortly thereafter and addressed the incident during a press conference.
In Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sherif Špago, head of the SDA parliamentary group, has accused the ruling coalition of undermining Bosniak representation within state institutions. Špago claims that key agencies, including the Agency for State Service and the Employment Agency, have been handed to the HDZ and SNSD parties. He further noted that several agencies, such as the Indirect Taxation Authority and the Insurance Agency, are facing leadership vacuums or reduced Bosniak participation in management roles due to ongoing political shifts and incomplete competition procedures.
