Political turmoil hits Apulia municipalities of Foggia and Bari

In Foggia, Forza Italia councilor Pasquale Rignanese criticised the city administration after Mayor Episcopo’s expected resignation, describing the municipality as abandoned, citing a lack of programming and an exodus of families, and calling for a meeting to address the crisis.

In Bari, Annamaria Ferretti, president of Municipio 1, said a council meeting failed due to lack of quorum, preventing a vote on turning a seized property into a nursery. She blamed internal party disputes, apologized to residents, and announced she will summon party representatives to restore functional governance.
