POLREGIO signs agreement for new electric vehicles from Polish manufacturer

POLREGIO has signed an agreement to acquire new electric vehicles from a Polish manufacturer, marking a significant step in modernizing its regional fleet. The investment involves cooperation between state-controlled entities, including the Industrial Development Agency (ARP) and the Polish Development Fund (PFR).

Minister of State Assets Wojciech Balczun emphasized the strategic importance of the deal, noting its high level of local content. The vehicles will be produced in Poland by domestic engineers and workers, supporting the national economy and technological competencies. The production is expected to take place at PESA facilities, which have been expanded through capital injections from the PFR. The new, eco-friendly fleet is expected to be available for passengers in less than three years.
