Polres Malang launches joint security patrols to prevent crime

Polres Malang has launched an intensified security operation, known as KRYD, to maintain public order and prevent crime across the Malang Regency. The initiative involves a collaborative effort between 85 personnel from the police, the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), and the local government.

From August 21 to August 25, 2026, joint patrols were conducted from late night until dawn to monitor high-risk areas. Targeted locations included the Kanjuruhan Stadium area, Pakisaji, Kepanjen, Bululawang, and Gondanglegi. The primary objectives are to deter street crimes, such as theft and motor vehicle theft, as well as illegal street racing.

Kapolres Malang AKBP Rulian Syauri emphasized that the operation is not merely ceremonial but serves to check personnel readiness and strengthen synergy between institutions. He noted that maintaining regional stability requires active collaboration between the police, military, local government, and the community to anticipate both criminal activities and social conflicts.
