Polska Grupa Górnicza opens September coal orders amid high demand

Polska Grupa Górnicza (PGG), the largest coal producer in Poland and the European Union, has opened online sales for coal designated for the 2026/2027 heating season. Customers are urged to place and pay for orders now to guarantee reservation of the chosen product and delivery in September, as the next available delivery slots are only in that month. The company notes that more than 200,000 customers previously bought over half a million tonnes of coal during a promotional campaign, and thousands are currently waiting for the September slots. PGG assures that its mines are operating stably and that existing contracts are being fulfilled on schedule, emphasizing that the long wait does not signal a shortage but reflects strong demand. Detailed price lists for bagged and bulk coal, as well as various packaging options, have been published on the company's portal.
