Ponferrada prepares for III Gala del Comercio del Bierzo

The third edition of the III Gala del Comercio del Bierzo is scheduled for Saturday, October 3, at La Térmica Cultural in Ponferrada. Organized by the Ponferrada City Council and the El Centro Mola merchants' association, the event aims to recognize the commercial sector's work over the past year.

This year's ceremony will feature 16 awards. Two recipients have already been announced: the Banda de Música Ciudad de Ponferrada will receive the 2026 Culture and Arts Award, and the Ponferrada Delegation of the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) will be honored with the Institution, Association, or Social Action Award. The remaining 14 awards will be revealed during the gala.

The event will include a musical performance by Marta Sánchez, celebrating her four-decade career, and will be hosted by Anne Igartiburu and Olaia Rueda. Additional entertainment includes an aerial acrobatics show by the Andrea Ríos Company.
