Pontevedra launches 1.8 million euro sports infrastructure plan

The Diputación de Pontevedra has launched the ‘Pro Deporte’ plan, an initiative providing approximately 1.8 million euros to improve sports facilities and equipment for roughly thirty non-profit clubs in the province. The program aims to assist clubs that lack the necessary resources to fund improvements independently.

Financial aid is structured to cover between 5,000 and 15,000 euros for infrastructure works, while equipment acquisitions can receive between 1,000 and 5,000 euros. If a club combines both categories, the total aid is capped at 15,000 euros, potentially covering up to 100% of the eligible investment. The project may be expanded by an additional 1.8 million euros depending on the volume of applications and budget availability.
