Pontevedra launches Son Verán summer concert series

The Diputación de Pontevedra has inaugurated the "Son Verán" programme, a series of 13 concerts running from late July through September across historic and scenic municipal venues in the province. The first performance took place on Friday, 24 July, with singer‑songwriter Gabriel Fandi in Baiona’s town square.

Throughout August the itinerary includes shows by ÓperaConcert in Vilanova de Arousa, Caldas de Reis and Forcarei; The Crass in Cerdedo Cotobade; Queiman Folk in Valga; and Laroá in Ribadumia. September sees concerts in Cangas de Morrazo, A Guarda, Marín, As Neves, O Porriño and Redondela, featuring Laroá, Roi Casal, and two performances by Carlos Núñez in Marín’s municipal auditorium and the port of Aldán.

The initiative aims to enrich the province’s cultural offering with a mix of opera, musical theatre, traditional, Celtic and world music, showcasing nationally recognised artists while promoting local heritage sites.
