Pope Leo XIV prepares apostolic journey to Argentina and Peru

Pope Leo XIV is preparing for an upcoming apostolic journey through South America, including visits to Uruguay, Argentina, and Peru. In Argentina, the Pope is scheduled to visit from November 8 to 11, with planned stops in Buenos Aires, Córdoba, and Luján. The visit will include massive Masses and meetings with social institutions, such as the Cottolengo Don Orione in Claypole and the Devoto prison, to address issues of vulnerability and exclusion.

In Córdoba, authorities expect to welcome over one million visitors. Meanwhile, in Peru, the Pope is scheduled to visit from November 11 to 16. To honor his pastoral work in the region, the Municipality of Callao has announced the installation of a 14-meter statue—the largest in the world dedicated to him—which will be inaugurated and blessed during his visit. The mission to coordinate these events has already toured the relevant regions to ensure successful implementation.
