Pordenone and Lecce forge book festival partnership

On 17 July, the Museo Castromediano in Lecce hosted the event “Il futuro si legge”, organized by the association Diffondiamo idee di valore together with the Foundation Pordenonelegge. The gathering, attended by local officials including Prefect Natalino Manno – former prefect of Pordenone and now prefect of Lecce – inaugurated a cultural twinning between the two cities.

The agreement sets up a biennial programme that will culminate in 2027, when Pordenone serves as Italy’s Capital of Culture. At that time a team of Lecce volunteers will join the staff of the Pordenonelegge festival, sharing organisational practices and promoting reading, community participation and cross‑regional networking.
