Pordenone announces major cultural exhibition plans for 2026-2027

Pordenone has launched a series of cultural initiatives in preparation for its designation as the Italian Capital of Culture in 2027. The city has unveiled an extensive exhibition plan for the 2026-2027 biennium, involving its entire museum network and collaborations with regional and national institutions.

The 2026 program includes exhibitions at the Museo Civico di Palazzo Ricchieri, the Natural History Museum, the Archaeological Museum, and the Palazzo del Fumetto, covering topics from botany and industrial history to comic art. The 2027 celebrations will feature immersive projects such as 'MULTI LATI' regarding the industrial evolution of the North-East, alongside major works by artists like Fontana and Vedova.

Additionally, the civic library in Piazza XX Settembre has inaugurated the exhibition ‘Testimoni del tempo – Il Messaggero Veneto: ottant’anni di Friuli tra cronaca, cultura e comunità’. Curated by the Leali delle Notizie association and historians Roberto Chiarini and Elena Pala, the exhibit traces the history of the regional newspaper from 1946 to the present, documenting key regional milestones such as the birth of the Pordenone province and the 1976 earthquake.
