Porsche sells IT subsidiary MHP to Tata Consultancy Services

Porsche AG has reached an agreement to sell its management and IT consulting subsidiary, MHP Management und IT-Beratung GmbH, to Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for an enterprise value of approximately €320 million. The all-cash acquisition, which is expected to close within three to four months pending regulatory and antitrust approvals, will see TCS take 100% ownership of the company.

Alongside the acquisition, Porsche and TCS have entered into a five-year strategic partnership valued at approximately €1.25 billion. This collaboration aims to accelerate the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) across Porsche’s value chain, including engineering, manufacturing, operations, and customer experience. As part of this deal, TCS will establish a dedicated AI Mobility Centre of Excellence for Porsche to drive innovation in software-defined mobility.

For Porsche, the sale is a component of its 'Sportwagenschmiede 35' restructuring strategy, intended to allow the automaker to focus more intensely on its core automotive business. MHP, which employs over 4,500 people globally and has a significant presence in Romania, will continue to operate as an independent brand within the Tata Group. Porsche intends to maintain its relationship with MHP as a key technology and transformation partner.
