Porsche unveils electric Macan GTS SUV with 571 hp and 0‑100 km/h in 3.8 seconds
Porsche has introduced an all‑electric version of its compact SUV, the Macan GTS. The model delivers up to 571 horsepower in over‑boost mode and 1,000 Nm of torque, propelling the 2.5‑tonne vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. Launch control and a rear‑biased chassis, air suspension and Porsche Active Suspension Management preserve the brand’s handling character despite the silent powertrain.
The electric Macan replaces the previous combustion‑engine Macan, which was withdrawn from the market after new EU cybersecurity regulations required its removal. Porsche says a new internal‑combustion Macan is slated for 2028, but the current focus is on the high‑performance electric variant.
The test noted the vehicle’s ability to mask its weight through precise suspension tuning and chassis balance, confirming that the electric powertrain does not compromise the driving experience Porsche is known for.
