Porsche unveils Taycan 2027 with E‑Shift gear‑shift simulation

Porsche introduced the 2027 Taycan, an updated electric sports sedan featuring a new E‑Shift system that simulates eight‑speed gear changes. The system can be operated automatically or via paddle shifters on the steering wheel, delivering characteristic power interruptions and engine‑brake feel.

A revised electric sport sound adapts to vehicle speed and load, while the digital cockpit adds a virtual rev counter, selected‑gear indicator and shift‑light display. The Turbo GT model gains the Weissach package as standard and can be fitted with a Manthey kit that includes aerodynamic upgrades, suspension tweaks and other performance‑enhancing components.

Power output ranges from 408 hp for rear‑wheel‑drive versions up to 1,034 hp for the Turbo GT. Prices start around US$233,300 and reach US$447,500 for the top‑spec Turbo GT. The model is now available in the local configurator for the Argentine market and will be sold worldwide.
