Port of Huelva receives approval for 20 million euro logistics zone
The Spanish Council of Ministers has authorized the bidding process for the urbanization and preparation of the Punta del Sebo lands to develop the future Logistics Activity Zone (ZAL) at the Port of Huelva.
The project involves an investment exceeding 20 million euros from own funds. The works will include the execution of the road network and all necessary urban infrastructure to support industrial and logistical activities, such as water supply, sanitation, drainage, electricity, telecommunications, public lighting, and irrigation. It also covers topographical adjustments and environmental soil treatment.
Alberto Santana, president of the Port of Huelva, and Pilar Miranda, the city's mayor, highlighted the strategic importance of the project. They stated that the ZAL is expected to consolidate Huelva as a major logistical and industrial hub in southern Europe, attracting new investments and generating high-quality employment.
