Poland expands maritime and transport infrastructure
Poland is undergoing significant maritime and transport infrastructure developments. The maritime economy is set to receive record funding, with expenditures projected to exceed 3.7 billion PLN next year, representing a 236 percent increase compared to 2023.
In Gdynia, the Port of Gdynia has completed a 12-year project to deepen its approach channel and internal basins, enhancing its ability to service the largest vessels and increasing competitiveness in the Baltic-Adriatic corridor.
Simultaneously, the Port Polska program is advancing large-scale investments. The Multi-year Program for 2024-2032 anticipates 131.7 billion PLN in spending. Current activities include terminal construction at the future airport site, where contracts for baggage handling and architectural design are valued at hundreds of millions of PLN. Additionally, the program is developing high-speed rail tunnels and regional road networks.
